This blog post is a bit painful for me to write about, but it is important to me that I show you why it is so important to book a professional Ararat maternity photographer while you are in the last stages of your pregnancy journey.
As a first time mum of a girl who is now 9 years old {and no plans for any other children} I feel a sense of regret that this was my only chance to have had a maternity photoshoot in Ararat - and I missed it.
I feel that I missed out on documenting this important part of my pregnancy, in a way that I would be proud to showcase nine years later. Why? At the time I didn't really think it was going to be that important. Until now.
At the time there weren't many maternity photographers in Gold Coast that I knew of, and the same with newborn baby photography. Unlike now where the choice and style of maternity photography near me is thriving!
I look back at these baby bump photos and wish I had of booked a professional maternity photographer, not just for me - but to pass down to my daughter to cherish.
But - at least I do have something that I can share with you now. It certainly is a lesson learned and if anything it has really helped me find my "Why" in my own journey as a newborn and maternity photographer in Ararat.

Especially if you are a first time mama, this is a really important milestone in your life. Often the magnitude of crossing the bridge from childhood to womanhood to motherhood isn't really revered like it should be in our society. Celebrate it!
Once your baby comes, it becomes all about the baby. Enjoy these last week fews of it being all about you. You have the Universe inside you - you Goddess!
I know that having a baby is expensive business and there are a lot of things you need to buy to prepare. But you also get a lot of stuff you don't even need, or will use for very long. If you are having a baby shower, maybe ask for a voucher and have something just for you to keep forever. There are only so much 0000 onesies your baby can wear before they grow out of them!
Lastly, it is your legacy. Which photo would you rather hand down the generations?
Booking a pregnancy photoshoot in Gold Coast doesn't have to be scary or overwhelming either. Start with finding a style you like then the artist that you feel the most connection with. You will know when you find the right photographer - it will feel just right to you!
