STUDIO SERVICE

Where is your studio located? Is there parking?

My spacious studio nest is based upstairs at my Point Cook home. The address details will be provided at booking. A carpark is allocated for you in my driveway for your convenience. If you have any issues with mobility up the stairs, please let me know and I will organise an in-home newborn session for you. 

 

What props do you have?

I have invested hundreds of hours researching and sourcing the best newborn props locally and internationally. You will love the different options I have for your newborn baby! Some of the vendors I have purchased from are Graceland Designs, Oz Backdrops & Props, Princess & The Pea and other custom knitted and designed pieces. 

 

Do you have maternity options?

I am always adding and expanding my client closet with beautiful pieces that will make you feel like a Soul Goddess. I have gowns, as well as key fashion staples that would suit an editorial look. I adore creating modern portraits for women - and have been since I was shooting on film back in 1996!

Do you require a deposit?

Yes, all bookings are only confirmed once a $100 deposit and signed photography agreement to confirm the booking. Your chosen collection is payable the day of your photoshoot. All the details for your bank transfer will be provided to you.

 

Do I need to bring anything? 

All the bits and pieces you will need to bring along for a maternity shoot will be emailed to you prior to the session. For most newborn photography shoots and Mama & Me Sessions, I will have everything we will need at the studio. 

What if my baby is unsettled during the shoot?

This is completely normal. I have photographed thousands of newborn babies and I am yet to experience a full session where the newborn baby doesn't need the comfort of his Mama! I have designed the package so that there is plenty of time around feeding and cuddles to help them settle. You will always get the beautiful photos you are looking for!

 

Can you organise Hair & Makeup?

Yes! I am able to source a local makeup artist to add a touch of glamour to your maternity session and it is encouraged. Nothing makes a girl feel better than being pampered with a fresh look and amazing images. If you would like to know more about this service please get in touch! 

 

When will I see my images?

The turnaround time to receive your gallery is 7 days.  I post a sneak peak on my Instagram stories while I am editing so be sure to follow along @soulmama_photography 

 

How do I select my images?

Expect to see 30-35 images in your online gallery. These are all edited and ready for you to download. Simply select your favourites that correspond to the number of digital photographs in your package, then commit to download. Often, clients love all the images and will upgrade to the full gallery once they have seen them. 

 

Can I bring extra family members to the studio?

The current number of people I can have including your children and myself in the studio is 5, at this time I can only accommodate your immediate family members. 

 

Can my other children stay in the studio after their photos have been taken?

In order for me to give you the full Soul Mama experience, I recommend organising your partner or someone else to collect the children from the studio. If we are doing a newborn or maternity session 2-3 hours can be a long time for little legs to wait!

 

If your home is some distance away, there is a playground directly opposite the studio, a shopping centre, cafes 2 mins drive away or even Werribee Open Range Zoo 15 minutes up the road. Make it a fun day out for your other children too! More about this here

 
 
 
 
 
IN HOME NEWBORN SERVICE

 

Do you bring your props to our in-home session?

Yes! as a part of the Lux In-Home session you can choose 3- 4 prop set ups for your newborn baby. I will bring them along to your home!

 

Our home is quite dark, will that be an issue for the photos?

I have taken in-home photos in all conditions, and have the experience to create beautiful photos in any home! 

It helps me to know before our booking so I can prepare with additional lighting accordingly. Usually all I need for your newborn photography is a large window to work next to. The images will always be naturally grainy due to the use of a higher iso. This is a part of the natural depth and style I create for your gallery of images. 

 

Do you travel for the In-Home Newborn Service?

Yes absolutely. One of the benefits of this package is it includes time and travel to your Melbourne based home. If you are in Regional Victoria, there may be a small fee to cover the extra travel I will need to do.

 

What do I need to prepare for your visit?

Great question! I have designed the in home newborn photography service to be as easy for you as possible. After the booking has been finalised with the deposit & returned contract I will email you everything you need to know about the experience and how to prepare for it. 

 

Can my other child and partner be in the photos as well?

Absolutely. While the focus is on your new baby, I allow time at the beginning of the session to capture some sibling, and family photos. This allows you to get your other child to school or kindergarten and if your partner needs to work then they can go ahead after their photos are done. This allows the rest of the time for you and I to work with the baby in a quiet space. 

 

What if my baby is unsettled during the shoot?

What if myself / child is unwell?

No problem, just let me know as soon as you can. I understand these things happen and we will simply reschedule your date. If I am unwell I will also contact you straight away to reschedule. 

 

Do you have a Covid-safe plan?

Nothing is more important to me than the safety and wellbeing of my clients and myself. Every booking I wear a facemask and practise good hand hygiene. My props / studio are sanitised in between sessions and temperatures are checked and recorded before we begin. The details of my covid-19 policy are fully outlined in our photography agreement. 

GENERAL

 

Can we change our digital photographs once they are downloaded?

Because of the digital nature of your online images they are unable to be changed or refunded after download. I allow up to 2 weeks for you to choose so you can take your time!

 

Can I download the images to my mobile phone?

Yes, but I recommend doing it on your computer so you don't accidently download or have any issues with the zip files. Always back up to the cloud as soon as you download your photos. 

 

Do you accept Credit Cards?

At the moment all deposits and package payments are payable via bank transfer. I will supply you my PayID for ease of payment. Soul Mama is currently cashless to keep ourselves happy and healthy.

 

Do you offer prints and products?

I am always sourcing the best print products and you can be sure I only use the best Professional print lab in Melbourne. You can order any prints directly through your online gallery, other than the Soul Mama Signature products you see in the studio. I like to check for quality control before delivering them to you. 

 

Do you offer family outdoor photography?

Yes, I have captured many thousands of smiling faces over the years. Please contact me directly for information about this service. 

 

Can I do my Maternity Shoot outdoors?

Yes you can, just let me know at time of booking. I have a few lovely locations local to Point Cook & suggest shooting one hour before sunset for the best most flattering lighting. 

 

What is the deposit for?

The deposit secures the date and time of your session. Bookings are only confirmed once the $100 deposit and signed photography agreement is returned. Your Collection option is payable the day of your photoshoot. All the details for your bank transfer will be provided to you.

I've seen my photos and I love them. Am I able to upgrade to the full package?

Of course! This is a popular option for many mamas. Simply purchase the 'Full Gallery' option via Paypal through your online gallery and all the images will be emailed to you in a zip file. Any other print inclusions with the upgrade I will contact you to organise.
